Color trends come and go, but warm color palettes remain classic. There’s a reason for that—warm hues hide wear better than pastels, make north-facing rooms feel more livable, and pair with just about any wood tone. They also happen to look just as good in daylight as they do in lamplight. The trick is knowing what to pair and how many colors to use. The 15 rooms we pulled from our archives offer a masterclass in warmth. Here are our favorite designer-approved warm color schemes.
1. Sun-Faded Rose
In Lake Como, Studio DB drenched a vaulted alcove in La Calce del Brenta’s Nebbia—a chalky plaster between blush and terracotta. Cognac-leather Vittoria Nobili chairs and a dusty mauve banquette deepen the tone.
2. Aubergine and Antique Cream
