Custom millwork, layered textures and efficient layouts give the home flexibility for both lively gatherings and quieter moments.

Hance designed the family room to impress without sacrificing everyday comfort. “Elevated everyday living is our trademark — it’s pretty and practical,” she says. A soaring fireplace anchored by vertical wood paneling and a custom slab mantel sets the tone. Floor-to-ceiling drapes add warmth, texture and height. A reoriented U-shaped sofa upholstered in a performance fabric makes entertaining — or lounging with two large dogs — effortless.
