Pinterest just dropped its annual trend forecast, and this time the platform mined two years of search data—September 2023 through August 2025—to pinpoint what’s about to become popular in 2026. To do it, Pinterest tracks search behavior, comparing year-over-year spikes to flag emerging trends. This year’s report spans 21 trends across categories like fashion, beauty, travel, and home. For interiors, they selected four trends worth watching: FunHaus, Afrohemian Decor, Neo Deco, and Extra Celestial—each pulling from wildly different references but unified by a shared rejection of neutral, beige minimalism.

FunHaus: The circus is coming to your living room, but leave the clown nose at the door. FunHaus pulls from big-top nostalgia—striped ceilings, sculptural shapes, vintage posters—without veering into birthday party territory. Pinterest recorded a 130% increase in searches for “circus interior,” 70% for “vintage circus aesthetic,” and 50% for “circus nursery.” This trend features objects like vintage suzani textiles, tassels that don’t feel twee, and architectural details that wink at the tent. Essentially, maximalism that has a sense of humor without becoming juvenile.
