After years uptown, the Kips Bay Decorator Show House New York is movin’ on down.

To mark its landmark 50th edition, the annual interior design event just announced that its 2025 iteration, which was postponed earlier this year, will take over a 9,000-square-foot townhouse in Greenwich Village. The Show House is usually held in a different location every year, with 2024’s display occupying a neo-Georgian residence on the Upper East Side.

Built in 1900, the stately residence set to host this year’s Show House is located near the area’s so-called Gold Coast, a ritzy stretch of Lower Fifth Avenue known for its preserved Gilded Age architecture. While the list of participating designers has yet to be unveiled, the house will open to the public on September 30 for a three-week run.

“For 50 years, the Kips Bay Decorator Show House has brought together the most creative minds in design to support the vital mission of the Kips Bay Boys & Girls Club,” said James Druckman, President of the Board of the Kips Bay Boys & Girls Club, in a statement. “We’re especially proud to mark our anniversary in the heart of Greenwich Village, at a location that perfectly reflects the grandeur and history of New York. It’s a powerful reminder of what our community can achieve together.”
